🔭🛶Captain James Cook🛶🔭

🔭🛶Captain James Cook🛶🔭WALT: I am learning to summarise a text

Hello and Welcome to my blog!

Throughout the week my teacher has been teaching us about "Polynesian Voyagers". In our reading groups we were given different books related to "New Zealand History". My group's book was about "Captain James Cook". The challenge for making this timeline is that it was very hard to find the information.

Here is the timeline I have made using Timeline Maker

🛶⛵Polynesian Voyagers/Polynesian Wayfinders⛵🛶

🛶⛵Polynesian Voyagers/Polynesian Wayfinders⛵🛶

These are facts that I have learnt according to the topic “Polynesian Voyagers or Polynesian Wayfinders”.

Polynesia is 160 million square kilometres. Polynesia is known to be bigger than Russia.

Early Polynesians eventually settled a vast area of islands spread over 40 million square kilometres of the pacific ocean.

Their voyagers began voyaging around 1500 B.C. when the people who had settled Polynesia first set sail from South East Asia.

Ancient Polynesians used the sun, moon, stars, planets, ocean currents and clouds as guides.

Voyagers became less frequent by around 1300 A.D. as Polynesian societies became more rooted in specific locations.

👩 🍳Making Sweet and Sour Pork👩 🍳

👩 🍳Making Sweet and Sour Pork👩 🍳

Today at technology for cooking we made sweet and sour pork. It was very fun making it. My partner helping to make this was Josephine. My opinion of making sweet and sour pork was that it was very challenging because when I was frying the vegetables and the meat I kept on getting the oil on myself. But as for my partner she did really good while cooking sweet and sour pork.
