Making our own board games

Today we finished making our board games, this my groups board game its called obsta SCHOOL, it is called obsta school because you have to try and get to school so you can win.The other game are called Panmure Monopoly,Tamaki College,Candy land and Raps land.We all got to play our own board games then we got to play with other people's board game.

WALT mark our writing against a rubric

The best basketball game

This morning skateboarding was cancelled so room 7 decided to vs room 8 at line basketball.

Room 7 and room 8 walked outside to the bottom courts, the room 7 boys were talking too much so Miss Ashley decided to put us in lines of boy girl boy girl boy girl, then we all stood up we got ready to run,Miss Morrison called five no one got the basketball inside the hoop, it was round 2,in round 2 someone from room 8 got it in then it was round 3 room 7 got a point.

In round 4 room 7 got another goal next round was round 5 room 7 got a goal again, as we continued some people were cheering some of us were sweaty and tired everyone tried their best and they were humble.

In the last round room 7 got a goal ! WE WON !!!!! YAY!!!!! We got four points, we won because we were humble and we tried our best room 8 got 1 point, as we were congratulating each other some of the room 8 kids were moving their hands away. We are humble winners and gracious losers.

It was a lot of fun, I loved it.

WALT navigate websites to find information AMETI


We learnt about AMETI,What I learnt about AMETI is that AMETI is the Auckland Manukau Eastern Transport I also learnt that it is the Auckland Council.I also learnt that AMETI is an Auckland Council Project.

It is about buses and trains. There is a new train station in Panmure.

WALT self-check our writing

Here is my writing from Monday without any editing.


This morning we did a fun game called the magic box we had to use our senses.


This morning Miss Ashley brang in her magic box,each one of us got blindfolded.While one person was blindfolded Miss Ashley would put a type of food or an object into the box.If we figured out what Miss Ashley put inside the magic box we would get a token.


When I was blindfolded Miss Ashley guided my hand into the magic box.It felt kind of disgusting and  bit squishy and yucky I knew it was weetbix because I tasted it and it was weetbix I said is it weetbix and it was so I earned a token.It kind of looked like fake puke.


The rest of the students took their turn and all had different things, Syraiah Lee had mustard,Kordell had tea bags,when he squeezed the tea bags water and tea came out,Amon had chia seeds {He didn’t figure out what it was!}Lopiseni had nutella {He figured it out straight away!}Ariki had honey it was easy for him to figure it out.


It was really fun I hope we play it again.

Now here is my edited story.

When Miss Ashley put the blindfold on, it felt like no one was there.  When I was blindfolded Miss Ashley guided my hand into the magic box. As I stood waiting, my heart was beating fast.
I put my hand nervously into the box, and I felt something disgusting and squishy.
It felt kind of disgusting and  bit squishy and yucky I knew it was weetbix because I tasted it I whispered is it weetbix and it was so I earned a token.Yay.The weetbix looked as if it was fake puke.The class giggled when I said the weetbix looks like puke.
